'Contemplation' is a richly coloured limited edition print (from an original watercolour) & is important in the timeline of Gordon King prints at Washington Green publisher, as it denotes him moving towards the more hyper-colour releases of his later years at the publisher, such as 'Jessica' & 'Anticipation.'

I think he then moved to a more contemporary feel in his figurative artworks, with bold colours making up the backdrop to his paintings, did you notice the change in style from this point?
