Increasing Love by Doug Hyde

Reminiscent of other limited edition prints: 'A Whale Of A Time' (2018) & the much earlier 'The Explorers' (2004) - another dual release print & sculpture.

Adventures and the open sea are Doug's inspiration here!

'Fuzz' the dog and our two human heroes, dressed in orange & yellow (and in the sculpture it appears to be orange and purple, oops!), travel with their trusty pooch in an upturned blue bowl, in search of new adventures.

Both the print and the sculpture were released in 2008 and are 'classic' Hyde art.

I love how Doug has created a Heart on the end of pole, acting as make shift sail, and the little ore the human characters carries looks like a dart!

In a very cute moment, 'Fuzz' places his head on the edge of the bowl and peers over, maybe looking at all the little fishy swimming around in the sea!

Simple and beautiful imagery by Doug, 'Increasing Love - Picture' has been 'reduced' to basic elements and bold colours!

Two humans go for a paddle in their makeshift craft with 'Fuzz' the dog, the instantly recognisable two coloured ear pooch.

This is one of few Doug Hyde limited editions that feature black backgrounds, to represent nighttime.

It is dusk, and our heroes bask under the illuminating light of a full (red heart!) moon & reflective aqua-blue sea - bliss!
