Two seagulls sit in their nest looked on by an inquisitive crab who wonders: What on earth are they are starring at?
Another welcome addition to the long running Rebecca Lardner sculpture range, and this one is another classic, with the characters recreated on a rather lifelike rock!
The seagulls & crab have an Aardman Animation feel about them and they could be straight out of a Shawn the Sheep episode.
Without visible mouths, the gulls have been created with comedic surprise facial expressions, as though mother is reacting to something just in the distance. I like the attention to detail such a hand painted twigs making up the nest, and the simple way Rebecca has created a pair of red feet sticking out over the top!
Question is, is the crab about to pinch one of the feet? lol
