Starbeaks by Derrick Fielding

A continuation of Derricks brand new series called, unapologetically, the 'Bird Series,' he features cute cartoonish birds and world famous restaurant signs.

‘Starbeaks’ is of course a pun on Starbucks, one the UK’s favourite coffee shops and these birds simply love perching on it in some sort of comedy balancing act!

Derrick surrounds the canvas with a beautiful deep blue (almost mauve) night sky and wonderous light emanating from the illuminated green, black & white Starbucks sign.

He has given the painting an almost outer space, celestial feel as you begin to explore the image, forget the comedy & are transported far far away…
