'This is a wonderful piece by French painter and sculptor, Lucien Vin, who has in recent times been praised for the contemporary twists and fresh concepts that he brings to the world of classical figurative sculptures.
However, perhaps it is some other modern art concept? in his latest piece 'Beginnings I.'
Bursting on the limited sculpture scene with 'Watching,' 'Wondering' and 'Waiting,' his worked has now evolved into the more contemporary feeling 'Beginnings 'I & II and his use of aluminium finished pieces.
These work brilliantly and give the sculptures a very ancient feel to them, as though forged from some precious metals.
Notice they have a dreamy & light feel to them and the colours are such that they will look neat in any room of the house.
This magnificent, almost pewter coloured, sculpture is a bigger and bolder version of 'Beginnings I' and you will notice the similarity in concept for the two pieces.
Looking closer, it almost seems like some ancient stalagmite formed after 1000s of years in a cave but it is actually from the mind of one of France's top sculptors, Lucien Vin.
Browsing his limited edition collection, it is obvious Lucien likes to experiment with sculpture finishes: going from darker bronze, to gold tinged ('Embrace' I & II) and finally this silvery aluminium finish.
Vin is a popular sculptor in his home country of France and we continue to get enquiries for newer original and limited edition works, which we are hoping we will see in 2014.
