As the two children, who are probably sisters, enjoy such days of being free and allowed to roam the fields whilst feeling safe they are in their element and the beautiful red Poppies in which surround them.

This reminds me of the more recent limited edition canvas: 'Lost Among The Poppies' (2019), with this time a young boy on an adventure through the fields!

The vibrant red of the flower journeys way up into the hills and so hours of fun are to be had for the two.

When viewing this piece, spirits are heightened and the image exudes charm and elegance in both style and subject matter making for an excellent addition to the collection.

As the title implies, Innocent Days may mean the innocence of youth, or the days when it was safer for children to be children and go playing in Poppy fields without supervision.
