In this beautifully illustrated land of 'Soap and Glory' two characters take centre stage, one positively less impressed than the other, as best-selling contemporary fine artist, Hyde depicts a quirky, affectionate and humourous vision of bath time in an oddly animal-ed household in his latest compositional reveal.
Indeed, the brand new, limited edition print entitled, 'Soap and Glory' pictures a none too enamoured looking dog being given the bubbles and loofer treatment at the hands of an all too eager mouse.
Willing or unwilling participant we'll never know, but one thing's for sure, this lovely little autumn 2013 release would certainly etch a smile across your face every time you looked out on it from your wall.
I view this new limited edition print and can't help but crack up, as all I can hear is 'Land Of Hope & Glory' coming out of an imaged TV while the mouse continues to bathe the dog - then we have the built in pun 'Soap and Glory' lol.
A wonderfully cute and wholesome image of love and friendship (and a helping hand!) the mouse beavers away to help his friend while the dog stairs into the distance.
He is thinking 'owwww this is hot' or 'owww this is cold!!!' Ill have to ask Doug Hyde next time he pops into the gallery what the dog is thinking!
